More About Us

This is the website about the work Andrew Olivier and Verena MacLean do with individuals and corporates. 

From an individual perspective they have a strong belief in empowering people through helping them understand their capability and how this will inform their Working Journey through Life.

Verena originally an audiologist for children wih special hearing requirements, became involved in the work of Elliott Jaques through Gillian Stamp and was one of four CPA trainers worldwide. When Andrew set up the company Third Foundations Systems, they both became involved in helping companies and individuals benefit from the insights Stamp added to Jaques' work. She is highly regarded by colleagues, clients and friends with extensive knowledge and understanding of the complexity based assessment methods.

Andrew and Verena set up BIOSS Australia and their previous company changed its name to BIOSS South Africa in 1998.

Both have continued to work with Jaques model of capability and organisational design and leadeship.  In 2003 Andrew published his book "The Working Journey"

Andrew has a strong need to ensure people who are entrusted in electing senior leaders understand capabillty and what this means for the future of the business and the broader context.  He provides coaching and mentorship services to CEOs and high potential individuals.   He is a CPA practitioner, wrote the Levels of Work Trainign Handbook and is a Strategy of the Dolphin Trainer Jaques work provides really deep understanding as well practical tools for leaders at levels of an organisation. 

While this remains a passionate interest he has started to think deeply about how best to contribute to society and how to contribute to the big issues facing us and our communities. The Working Journey has associations and affiliations with a number of related organisations for the provision of professional services.
