Nation Building & Entrepreneurship: Being There

Working Journey Projects is deeply committed to Nation Building. Our dedicated two-day programme "Being There" is a revolutionary socio-economics literacy training programme that is set to turn things around.

The programme objectives include a working knowledge of:

  1. Different styles of government; how and why democracy works;
  2. The source of public finance - who spends it and why;
  3. Power and authority; rights, responsibility and accountability;
  4. Services and the relationship between services, provision and cost;
  5. The relationship between the citizen and the incurring of such costs with a large selection of practicals which include calculations and exercises, all promoting experiential learning and discovery;
  6. The rights and responsibilities of the citizen together with practical examples of how they can make a difference.

While other civic education & social literacy courses stop at human rights; this course goes beyond, fulfilling an urgent need for citizens to be aware of their responsibilities and the financial implications of their actions.
